Important to Know
- ·Inner Line Permit (ILP) is mandatory for all visitors to Mizoram. It can be obtained on arrival at Lengpui Airport, online at ilp.mizoram.gov.in, or at Mizoram Liaison Offices in Guwahati, Kolkata, and New Delhi. Fee is minimal (₹120 per person).
- ·Foreign nationals must register with the Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) within 24 hours of arrival.
- ·Rih Dil Lake lies entirely inside Myanmar and cannot be visited directly from India — the lake is viewed from the Indian side near Champhai, which is a meaningful experience in itself.
- ·The Aizawl–Champhai road (NH540) is a long mountain drive; road conditions can vary seasonally. Our drivers are experienced on this route.
- ·Best season: October to March for pleasant weather and clear skies. Avoid July–September due to heavy monsoon rainfall.
- ·Mizoram is a predominantly Christian state. Sundays see reduced commercial activity — we schedule accordingly.
- ·Phawngpui (Blue Mountain), Mizoram's highest peak at 2,157 m, requires 2–3 additional days. Ask us about our extended Mizoram itinerary.
