ClearEast Trip Private Limited ("ClearEast Trip", "we", "our") is a travel company registered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. We design and operate slow travel journeys to Northeast India and Bhutan. We collect only what we need to plan and operate your trip:

• Contact information — your name, phone number, email address, and WhatsApp number when you reach out to us.
• Trip preferences — destinations of interest, travel dates, group size, budget range, and any special requirements you share with us.
• Identity documents — passport details, government ID, and photographs required for Bhutan visas and Arunachal Pradesh Inner Line Permits (ILP). These are collected only when you proceed to booking.
• Payment information — we collect only what is necessary to process and confirm your payment. We do not store full card details.
• Website usage data — anonymised data via Google Analytics (pages visited, session duration, traffic source). This does not identify you personally.

• To plan and customise your journey to Northeast India or Bhutan.
• To process permits, visas, hotel bookings, and transport on your behalf.
• To communicate with you about your trip via WhatsApp and email.
• To send you occasional updates about new itineraries or seasonal travel opportunities — only if you have opted in to receive these.

Most of our communication happens over WhatsApp. When you message us, your conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy (Meta Platforms Inc.). We use WhatsApp Business and treat all conversations as confidential. We do not share your WhatsApp messages with any third party.

• Hotels and accommodation partners — to confirm your bookings.

• Government authorities — for Bhutan Tourism Authority, Arunachal Pradesh ILP processing, and any mandatory permit applications.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes, ever.

We retain your personal information for as long as needed to deliver your journey and for a period of three years after your last interaction with us, as required for accounting and legal compliance. Identity documents collected for permits are deleted within 90 days of your return date, unless you request otherwise.
